It's In The Bag For Edible Oils

Rapak has installed a new Autokap™ single head fully automatic filler at Anglia Oils in Hull. Anglia Oils is a major supplier of edible oil to Burger King and is now using Rapak's Bag-in-Box system to pack the oil for use in most of the Burger King outlets in Europe.

One of the principle reasons behind the move was environmental legislation in Germany. The bag-in-box is lighter and easier to dispose of, while the bag, cap and gland are all 100% recyclable offering not only environmental benefits but commercial ones too.

In addition, bag-in-box offers economic and usage benefits throughout the supply chain - perfect dispensing, major efficiency gains, lower storage costs, increased hygiene and longer shelf life.

This is just one example of an increasing move towards bag-in-box for edible oils.
